The military barracks of the industrial era was a factory of soldiers — a large-scale installation designed to receive raw conscripts off the railway platform and return disciplined riflemen, machine-gun crews, and artillerists to the front in minimum time. Prussian Kadettenkorps, French depot battalions, and British regimental training depots all ran on the same mass-production logic that drove their era's factories. Standardized drill, medical screening, weapons familiarization, physical conditioning, and doctrine instruction ran through a systematic pipeline capable of processing tens of thousands of men per month at peak mobilization. In the game it unlocks the full industrial infantry roster: riflemen, mortar crews, machine gunners, snipers, and rocket infantry. Build it early in any industrial-age war and supplement it with arms factories to keep ammunition flowing — without it, your economy can grow while your front line withers.
