Early Medieval Warehouse
By the Early Middle Ages, trade had grown too complex for simple food stores. The warehouse of this era is a large timber-framed or stone structure designed to receive, sort, and protect diverse categories of goods — salted fish, iron ingots, woven cloth, preserved provisions, and the tools of every craft. Merchant guilds in the growing towns of the Rhineland, Flanders, and northern Italy made the warehouse their operational base: goods were weighed, taxed, stored, and consigned from under its roof. In the game the warehouse substantially increases total storage capacity across all resource types and unlocks modest trade bonuses that accelerate income from adjacent market buildings. Site it near your town hall and market to minimize worker travel time — every step saved is a step that can gather another resource instead.
