Command Center
Kommandozentrale
Modern Age Town Center
The command center of the Modern Age is the apex of two world wars' accumulated thinking about how to lead forces spread across hundreds of kilometers of contested front. Buried in reinforced concrete, dispersed across camouflaged compounds, or hidden in requisitioned factory halls — the real-world equivalents, Wehrmacht headquarters, Allied Supreme Commands, and Soviet Stavka, wove together intelligence, logistics, air coordination, and strategic planning into a single decision-making organism. They were the first true combined civilian-military command architectures, reflecting the reality that total war had made the distinction between soldier and civilian largely academic. In the game it is your civilization's highest administrative structure, unlocking the most powerful modern-era units and technologies. Losing it is a strategic catastrophe — prioritize its defense with anti-aircraft guns, bunkers, and a dedicated garrison.
