Voxel Dynasties is an upcoming real-time strategy game about building civilizations, commanding armies, shaping voxel terrain, and leading your dynasty through the ages.

From early settlements and stone walls to artillery, tanks, ships and the atomic age — Voxel Dynasties combines classic RTS gameplay with a fully block-based world where terrain, construction and destruction matter.

A Classic RTS in a Voxel World

Voxel Dynasties is built around the core of traditional real-time strategy:

  • Gather resources.
  • Build your settlement.
  • Defend your walls.
  • Train armies.
  • Expand your civilization.
  • Destroy your enemies.

But the world itself is built from blocks.

Walls are not just visual barriers. Terrain height matters. Structures can be built, climbed, attacked and destroyed. Every block can become part of your strategy — or part of the battlefield.

Classic RTS View 

Command your civilization from a traditional strategy perspective. Build, manage, expand and lead your army from above.

The focus is on clear RTS gameplay: economy, base building, army control, map control and long-term strategy.

Voxel-Based Building

Construct walls, towers, stairs and defensive structures using a block-based building system.Terrain and buildings are not just decoration — they affect movement, defense and combat.If something is higher than one block, units cannot simply walk over it. This makes walls, cliffs and defensive positions meaningful.

Destructible World

Walls, buildings and terrain blocks can be destroyed by attacks, artillery and explosions.

Defenses can be breached. Fortifications can be climbed. Terrain can be damaged. Battles reshape the world around them.

The voxel system is intentionally limited to keep gameplay readable and balanced: blocks are built upward, terrain collapses downward when destroyed, and hollow tunnel exploits are avoided.

Civilization Progression

Inspired by classic RTS civilization bonus systems, Voxel Dynasties allows players to invest points into different areas such as:

  • resource gathering
  • military bonuses
  • unit class modifiers
  • economy improvements
  • leader and hero attributes

Preset balanced civilizations are also available, so players can jump straight into fair RTS matches without needing to grind progression.

Optional Hero Mode 

Voxel Dynasties also includes an optional hero mode.

In this mode, you can take direct control of a selected unit for a short time to gain a local tactical advantage during a battle, defense or assault.

This is designed as a tradeoff: while you are controlling one unit directly, you lose time and attention for macro management.

The classic RTS experience remains separate. Players who want pure RTS gameplay will be able to play without first-person hero control.
